A Vladmaster performance is a simultaneous Vladmaster experience. Every attendee is given a viewer and set of disks and then led through the story by a soundtrack featuring music, narration, sound effects, and ding noises to cue the change from image to image. The CLACK of hundreds of viewers turning simultaneously fills the air. Mass euphoria ensues.

The first of these performances was April of 2004 at the PDX Film Festival. A packed audience of 380 people at the Guild Theater in Portland were treated to a live Lucifugia Thigmotaxis experience. There are currently four Vladmaster stories available for performances: Lucifugia Thigmotaxis, the Public Life of Jeremiah Barnes, Actaeon at Home, and Fear & Trembling.

Vladimir has given performances across the US and Britain, including shows at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Flaherty Film Seminar in New York, and the Flatpack Film Festival in Birmingham UK.

You can find photos of performances and other interesting things Vladimir has encountered on her travels on the Slideshows page.
